This film shows scenes of: a house and the front and back garden of the house, a man in a suit with a walking stick is seen with a pipe in his mouth, a playing field with a man on a palmino horse, other people on horseback in cowboy like outfits, horses are shown in front of a barn, boys in suits, a man on horseback and a line of people on horseback with flags, a parade of people with flags of various states, then a polo match, with one man in a yellow jersey with an R on it. Close up of a man in uniform watching the match and other spectators in the crowd. This section ends with a young boy in a garden and then seen with a couple, his parents? (Possibly filmed in New York state)

The rest of the film features onboard a ship, the USS Knox (APA 46), in the pacific, visiting pacific islands, crossing the equator and visiting Japan. Scenes include: A boxing match on board, a forest area on land, scenes with people walking on a rural road, harbor scenes with boats, shore scenes with landing craft PA46-15, people on a bridge, onboard ship scenes, asian street scenes, people on a train, a sign on the street of a Japanese town map, a Japanese house and garden, japanese street scenes (possibly of the towns and villages around Wakanoura, Wakayama and Nagoya?), a dockside area with an army jeep and many boxes piled up, on board ship, many views from the ship, a shellback ceremony (Crossing the line ceremony), with Mr. Herchak dressed up as the chaplain, then scenes of cargo onboard ship with a military truck with cargo in it being winched out of the hold for transfer to a waiting landing craft. Many scenes from offshore Japan and Japanese islands.
