Correspondence, 1960-2005; newspaper clippings, 1967-1993, historical sketches, research notes, and genealogical files are various places and families of South Carolina.

This collection includes files re historic sites and buildings in Walterboro, Jacksonboro, and elsewhere in Colleton County, S.C.; early backcountry settlement of S.C. in "Barnwell, Upper Beaufort, and Colleton Districts"; research notes are the S.C. Tricentennial; and brochures, pamphlets, maps, and ephemera.

Genealogical files discuss the following families: Barfield, Boggan, Brown, Bodie, Bryan, Couch, Dabs, Ellis, Fleming, Gray, Lee, Lovelace / Loveless,McDaniel, May, Mixon / Mixson, Permenter, Swearingen, Tuten, and others. Includes photographs of individuals or groups identified as members of the following families: Bryan, Ellis, Goettee, Lee, McDaniel, and Tuten, as well as images of cemeteries, grave markers, and a view of "the Gray House,: Rosefield."
