Boozer and Goode Families Photographs

Photographs of Boozer and Goode families and friends, including photograph of Boozer home at 1009 Marion St., Columbia, S.C. Ralph and Sallie Boozer and their children Mamie, Ralph, and Mary appear in the city directories as early as 1895 with Ralph a baker and later a driver for Oliver Riedlinger Bakery. In the late 1910s, they moved to 2218 Washington Street. James and Carrie Goode lived at 1013 Pine Street; James is listed in city directories as an insurance agent for Mutual Relief and Benevolent Association. Their son James attended Benedict College a year before he moved to Philadelphia in 1916.

Postcards are addressed mainly to the Goode and Boozer families. Other recipients include Mrs. Emma Shirah, Miss Mamie Gordon, Mrs. J.W. Rodgers, and Mrs. Laura Jenkins of Columbia; Mrs. Earl B. Wilfong of Spartanburg, S.C.; Mrs. Nap Alford of Batesburg, S.C.; Mrs. James T. Adams of Pendleton and Rowesville, S.C.; Wilson Redmon on U.S.S. Rail in Charleston, S.C.; Mrs. E.O. Jennings of Lincolnton, N.C.; Miss Pearle Merriman of Horse Shoe, N.C.; Ralph Crawford and Misses Frances & Anna Taylor of Philadelphia; Eddie Niles of Atlantic C ity; and Mrs. Ella Bell and family of New York City.
