Cpt. James V. Mullery Photographs

This collection consists mainly of photographs that directly pertain to Cpt. James V. Mullery (1918-1992) and his military service during World War II with the 104th U.S. Infantry Division. The photographs span from 1939-1962. Many of the images were taken in various locations throughout Germany from 1944-1945 and include several photographs taken during the liberation of Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp in Nordhausen, Germany on April 12, 1945. Some images show Cpt. Mullery during training exercises in the United States, as well as Mullery with other soldiers in Germany during war-time. Several other photographs relate to Cannon Company’s stay at the post-war Allied military base in Trieste, Italy from 1947-1948 as part of Trieste United States Troops. Some of the other photographs may relate to Cpt. Mullery’s personal vacations including several photographs of Italy and the Great Wall of China.
