Vignettes of Theater from the 1850s to the 1920s

 Collection
Identifier: SCU-RBSC-2020-1

This collection was gathered by Betsy G. Miller and focuses on musicians and entertainers who performed on theatrical and other stages from the 1850s to the 1920s. The collection was organized in series based on the performer or family of performers that had 3 or more folders of material focusing on that act. The remaining performers were placed in the Various Performers and Events series, organized in alphabetical order. Also included in the collection are photo albums and a scrapbook and oversized materials each organized in a separate series following the same order in which these items would have appeared had they been filed in the series devoted to the performer featured in the album or oversize item. The albums were placed in their own series in order to better preserve the albums by placing them in their own boxes.
