George L. Geckle archive
This collection is comprised of material related to the career of George L. Geckle, a professor of English at the University of South Carolina. Geckle was instrumental in organizing the highly successful Spring WritersSeries at USC, in which participated well-regarded and popular authors such as Kurt Vonnegut, Nora Ephron, and John Gardner. Material related to the Spring Writers Series is included in this collection, as well as correspondence, material regarding James Dickey, and the Telly Award statuette, presented to Geckle in 1999.
