James Dickey papers

This collection is comprised of materials acquired with the personal library of James Dickey by the USC libraries after his death in 1997. It includes manuscripts sent to Dickey, articles written about him, family and professional photographs, airplane tickets used by Dickey and his wife, mail sent to Dickey and replies from Dickey, various ephemera from events Dickey attended, some financial information, various sheet music, copies of the James Dickey Newsletter from 1985 to 1992, and realia from Dickey’s office at USC. The majority of this collection is fine to be handled, but some of the correspondence is quite fragile as it was printed on onion skin paper.
