John Drummond represented the Greenwood area in the South Carolina Senate for more than forty years, including service as president pro tempore, before retiring in 2008. Collection contains 2,600 feet of color and black and white 16mm film. Photographing the Winter Colony and local scenes, He spent time in Camden until c. 1945. Images of people, animals, and houses in Camden, S.C., including white and African-American families, horse -drawn vehicles, horseback riding, women in riding habits, polo, birds, dog tricks, chickens, turkeys, gardens, tennis, the house "Bohemia," and trip to the mountains.

J. Drake Edens is recognized by many as the father of the modern Republican Party in South Carolina. He campaigned for Charles E. Boineau, Jr., William D.
