Scope and Contents Over the years, MIRC has acquired several examples of the itinerant filmmaker genre documenting South Carolina communities in the 1930s and early 1940s, including a handful of films by the celebrated North Carolina-based filmmaker, H. Lee Waters. The itinerant filmmaker materials comprise approximately 31,900 feet of black and white silent and sound film across eight titles.
